Moto Droid Icons missing

I have an unusual problem after the 2.1 software update.

When I dock my Moto Droid on either the Verizon Desktop or Car Dock I lose all my icons on the Droid. I have to turn my phone off and back on to get them back. Does anybody know why this is happening. I really don't want to do a phone reset as I will have to install all my aps again. Anybody else having this problem?

I haven't experienced this, however, I have read about it. It must just be a bug.

I have had this problem happen multiple times. I just looked at the Motorola site posted above, but there didn't seem to be an answer to the problem. If anyone finds out how to fix this, please let me know. I emailed Motorola support (they are closed right now), but I'm not optimistic that they will solve the issue!
