Moto Droid frozen black screen when weatherbug lite installed.

Since the 2.2 update, if I have the weatherbug lite app installed on the phone it freezes upon unlock.  All I get is a black screen, no background, no icons.  I can lock it again and I can unlock it but still black screen. After a bit I can pull up the menu, and then navigate to apps and remove weatherbug.  After that it's fine.  I just don't understand why I'm having so many issues.  The other moto droid in the house has 2.2 and no issues with weatherbug.  

Any ideas other than leaving weatherbug uninstalled?  I rather like it.

I would say install and uninstall a few times. I have weather bug, I have no problems with it, it is the paid version though.

If it still does it write weather bug, about it, because the old software is not compatible with 2.2.

Just a guess
