Moto Droid not sync'ing with hotmail or webmail

My Moto Droid used to sync flawlessly with my hotmail and webmail accounts. Recently (post upgrade? Not sure.), it stopped syncing.

The little circle thingy that circulates to show it is updating spins and spins, but no new messages come down. (I *know* they're there since they show up when I access the accounts on my laptop.)

I am not running Advanced Task Killer, which I have seen might be an issue.

I have not changed any settings for either email account since it was successfully updating.

Other things seem to update just fine, so I know it is not my connection.

All suggestions appreciated. (This is a real problem since I am on the road a lot...)

Over the weekend, however, it suddenly decided to update (for no discernable reason) and has been updating fine ever sice.

I will try your suggestion if it happens again.

Mine did it before the update and here and there. I found just turn phone off and on. It generally worked for me.

First you would want to make sure that you have the most updated software on your phone.

From the main screen, touch menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch About Phone
Touch System Updates

Then could I get you to do a soft reset on the device.

To do a Soft Reset:

Press the Power key.
Touch Power off.
Touch OK.
Press the Power key to power on the device.

Then dial *228 send and option 1 on the phone.

If the problem persists you would want to remove the email account, then re-add it.

Add Email Account
From the home screen, touch the applications tab.
Touch Email.

Additional Email account added

Touch Menu.
Touch Accounts.
Touch Menu.
Touch Add account.
Enter the exchange email address and password then touch Next.
Touch Exchange account.
Enter the exchange server settings in the appropriate fields.
1. Domain\username
2. Password
3. Exchange Server
If desired, ensure Use secure connection (SSL) and Accept all SSL certificates are checked then click Next.
Touch the Email Checking frequency dropdown.
Touch the desired frequency.
Touch the Amount to synchronize dropdown.
Touch the desired amount.
Touch the desired account options then touch Next.
1. The account option is enabled if a green check mark is present.
2. Send email from this account by default.
3. Notify me when email arrives.
4. Sync contacts from this account.
Enter an account name and outgoing message name then touch Done.
