just a quick note to verizon. the droid by motorola is a piece of crap. you should be ashamed of selling this garbage. the salesman lied and said he love his it works great. the next time i saw him a week later he had a blackberry. I will never buy another motorola as long as i live. I wil not buy one product made bu\y this company. take some resposibility. to all others do not buy this phone. I feel like throwing it at a wall on a daily basis. never had a prob with my LG phone or my palm. MOTORola SUCKS {please keep your posts courteous}

If you have problems/questions, try posting them here. Maybe you can find some answers. There are quite a few great contributors on this forum! Also...there is a 30 day guarantee....if you haven't had it longer you CAN take it back and return to an LG or Palm.

Cmon Ron... you know HTC makes better phones... the Eris and Incredible have had less problems than the rest of the phones.

I have the Droid 2 and love it, but HTC is better... ohh and Sense >>>>>> motoblur

Someone the other day was scolding me about how HTC makes bad phones. That the Incredible device is a poor device. I of course disagreed with the person. Click HERE to view the thread...it is the posts by Joe_Evaristo. I love my HTC that I have now!! Will continue to love it.

I have had both manuf.

I went through 5 Droids

My wife is on her original eris, and she uses it more than me.

My sister has an Evo.. it burns the X away.

The only thing that moto does better right now is keyboard... but I see an HTC model coming up witha a good looking keyboard.

There are tons more complaints over Moto phones in comparison to HTC phones.

I know this boils down to personal taste though and I can't argue what you like better.

More people buy Motorola than HTC for a reason. check out all the forums. The Eris and Imagio all crap phones.

Just more people buy moto on verizon... Imagio isn't meant to compete with high end phones. If you bring that phone up I would bring up the rzr.

The Eris isn't crap either. The Eris was a low end phone that has outdone a lot of higher end phone...

But again "to his, his own"

After reading that thread I came to this conclusion...

Most of what people on these forums base their opinion on phones come from Verizon only phones.

They don't take into account the Evo, G1/2 and Nexus one (might be the best phone ever btw).

I agree that the Verizon lineup isn't great, but you can find issues with every phone on Engadget or Gizmodo (except the iphone dumb fanboys).

The Incredible has only been awesome when I used it, an easy 9. The Droid 1 was at best a 7. I would even give the Eris a 7. If the Droid 2 didn't have motoblur it would be a 9... now an 8

The X would be a 10, but again motoblur... 9

HTC is thriving, while Motorola is in and out of Bankruptcy court. You tell me what that means.

It means they need a new interface that works for the masses. That you can not tweek except for the wallpapers and resize a widget. Push a icon and the phone does the rest. Unfilled then the masses that do not understand how the Open System works and how to tweak more than what is on the screen they will never be appealing to most people.

Razr is an old phone now,but I do agree that some of the Razr version phones were pretty good. My brother had one Razr from Verizon that lasted him for years! About the Motorola is better then LG or HTC...that is debatable. I have only bought LG phones on Verizon and all have been super durable devices.

I still use my Razr as my home phone connected to a Phone Labs docking station. It's still my primary phone number.

I don't deal with those third party retailers because of the added TOS. You get what you pay for. The Fascinate feels much better in the hand and probably has the best processor/gpu combo currently available on the market so I think it'll hold it's own for a while.

I'm guessing it'll be at least a year before there's a decent LTE android phone available plus it may not even be available in my area until later. By then, I'll be eligible for a NE2 or annual upgrade anyways

But, how soon will LTE be available in all areas? I live in the mountains and need to know how wide spread it will be in the near future.

It'll be a couple years before it's widespread. Believe there wanting to have ~30 markets go live before the end of the year to cover about 100million people. Nothing official on where all of those markets are

Let us know how the phone is I hope the gps doesn't give you too many fits... I use mine all the time.

Speaking of GPS, I used it for a total of ~400miles and over 8hrs of traveling yesterday and was a little skeptical after hearing about the gps issues on the Galaxy S phones but it did great. Tracked me the whole time and never lost me once. It sat on Searching for Satellites for a couple minutes on google nav but the indicator was moving so I guess it uses cell tower triangulation until it locks onto the satellites. It did stop charging a couple of times but apparently the microUSB connector on my car charger has a mind of its own and decides wiggle its way out. The data cable I use with the computer has no wiggle so I'm guessing it's an issue with the car charger itself and not the phone.

There are a couple minor annoyances though. No notification led for emails, texts, etc. I'm using an app from the market called NoLED that bounces a little green, red, or whatever color dot you decide around the screen. The backlight on the touch sensitive buttons go off after only 5 sec which is ok in the daylight but a pain at night.
