Motorola Droid Email Problems

I've had mine since last Fall, and other than my Comcast email account constantly reloading old emails, it has worked just fine. A few weeks ago, the Droid began to struggle pulling in my Comcast emails, and I've had many "connection errors". Now, it is pulling in emails and combining them together...for instance, I'll receive an email from a friend, but the body of the email is from something I received and deleted several months ago, and is totally unrelated! And now it is happening when I send emails from my Droid, which I'm not liking at all. I can't send emails out because I don't know what the recipient is actually going to get in it.
I have tried to go into my Trash and delete all my old emails, but the darn thing freezes up every time and I have to force close it.
I just spent about 20 minutes on the phone with Verizon techs, and ended up resetting my phone. I was told perhaps something corrupted the Comcast email and/or the phone software, because I also had problems with the system program freezing up sometimes. Hopefully, the system reset will work.
Has anyone else had these types of problems with their email accounts on Droid, especially Comcast email?

I dont have comcast email but I have had problems with my MSN email & connection errors. I've gone to the Verizon store & they told me it was because I had to many things opened "behind the scenes" so we cleared everything out of the task manager. I still have connection issues periodically but the techs @ Verizon can't seem to figure out what's wrong.

I have an MSN email account and am having the same problem. Before the last update, the Droid kept erasing my email accounts (both my MSN and my work email through Exchange). Since the update, they no longer get erased, but I get incessant "Force Close" prompts and the MSN email fails to load most of the time. It's completely worthless for personal email. Any ideas? Very frustrating

Well, I ended up calling Verizon and the tech had me reboot my phone. So, I lost everything on it, other than what was saved to the card. Which wasn't a big deal, I just had to reinstall email apps, and other apps that I was using regularly. It did work for my problems. The tech told me my Droid may have been "compromised", meaning that a virus or some other gremlin got into it. When you think about it, that makes sense since it is a micro-mini computer and wide open to whatever things are out there. No anti-virus from Verizon or Motorola yet...I would not download any others that are out there since you don't know what you are getting.
Anyway, my Droid is now working fine with email. Try giving them a call and see if you should reboot your system. Good luck!
