WOW! All these issues with the Droid X from shipping all the way down to deleting call histories. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I ordered my X on launch day, the shipped it overnight for free and I got it before 3:00pm the next day! 2:54pm to be exact. Now maybe I have figured out the first generation Motorola Droid a little too well but, the camera issues, the texting issues (even the issue with deleting a thread of a certain contact), clearing the call history, I've had NO problem with ANY of these! The only "problem" I've had so far is the lack of volume from the INSANELY smaller speaker on the Droid X compared to the first generation Droid. I'd like to smack the **bleep** right out of the genius that failed on THAT subject but, all in all, I LOVE the Droid X!!!!!!

I agree! I love the Droid X. No real major problems, except for the volume. Both the earpiece volume and especially the speaker volume is much too low even when set as high as it goes. One Verizon rep told me to exchange my phone right away (within 30 days of purchase) for another brand new one. Another Verizon rep told me that they have so many reports of low volume problems that they are preparing a fix. Which rep should I believe?
Anyone have any info of how and when Verizon might fix this low volume problem?
If you have a Droid X and are happy with your volume, great! However, you should know that for every one of you, there are five or ten or twenty people who have a Droid X with a serious low volume problem.
Any possible or proposed solutions? An app to control power management that redirects more juice to the speakers? Another update that internally codes for sending more power to the speakers when users turn their volume up?
Verizon, where are you?
Verizon reps on this forum, where are you?
Help! Please. We need help with the low volume problem. Information? Solutions? Promises of future info/solutions? Anything. Please help.
