Out IT guy configured our Outlook to sync through an indentical gmail (work)  account, so outlook syncs through the gmail acct. It works quite well and all my work Outlook accounts sync into my phone and calendar entries too. Hope that helps!

Our IT person set up a companion gmail account that sync's with Outlook at work. It works great. I get all my email's on my Droid X and my contact list updates continuiously. I just wish I could do a little more to separate and organize the contact lists in Android. Otherwise it's really good.

Thank you all for the replies. If you are not able to have your IT person set up the sync, you can also search the Market for a third party application that will allow you to sync with MS Outlook.

Thank you,

If IT cant help and you are speaking about active sync push email then you can try Touchdown app from Market but if you just want to read emails that comes from a ISP that you have configured on home PC outlook, try contacting pervider because they usually have info to access it through the device email client, Roadrunner  and Yahoo works without any extra apps.

There is a website that lists all the sync programs (well many of them) it's al:

http://www.syncdroid.net/

That being said the 2 biggies are The MIssing Sync and Companionlink, I tried and disliked both.  Both of them require you use there software, IE calendar etc.

I use GSnycit and could not be happier with it.

It's a plugin for outlook.  Make a change, any change, and it hit Sync and it ports it to your gmail account and phone.  A word of warning it does take some work to setup, but it's very customizable, and bulletproof, it never fails.

Just make sure you check the 'delete duplicates' entry on contacts.  Not only does it port information from outlook to Google and your phone but the other way too.  Usually if I am on the road, and I need to make a new appointment, ill start it in my phone, just the time, place and person and when I get home I edit the rough entry that comes over from the phone in outlook and send it back (typing is simpler on a PC)
