I'm all for options, but it's sorta laggy.  Like their code is not streamlined.  After having used an iPhone, I gotta tell ya...this don't feel right.

I'd honestly rather do without pinch gestures if it's going to be this delayed.  Credit for their initiative though, it just needs sped up.  The OMAP in my Droid is more capable than this :smileywink:

And not only that, I just don't see the big deal in the whole multi-touch thing. I'm just fine with double tap, and after having an iPhone, I used that more than the "LOL SO COOL PINCH AND ZOOM WATCH ME DO IT."

I agree.  I thought it was ironic that the Droid got dinged so many times for it, but on my iPhone I never used pinch to zoom anyway.  I always double tapped.  Often times double tapping was more accurate at getting text columns centered than pinching.

Even on the Palm Pre I double tapped.

Actually, I find Dolphin faster than the stock browser.  IT does have some glitches, and the pinch to zoom isn't as smooth as it should be, but it has some great potential.

Now, let me qualify 'faster'.  It isn't by much, but it is there.  The gesture thing is pretty cool, but I like the tabs and full screen use more than gestures or pinch to zoom.  I find that the photo's on websites aren't quite as high quaity as the stock browser either.  That's probably a parameter choice by the designers and may explain the small increase in speed.

Definately like the way bookmarks are handled better in Dolphin.

Jury's still out as a permanent replacement, but I'll keep my eye in this one for sure.  If the buggies get worked out, it may become my default browser.

I agree it has potential, but its obviously not quite ready for prime time. If they keep working on it I might switch, but for now i've deleted it and will stick with the stock browser, and reconsider as later versions are released.

It just got updated tonight.  I prefer it to the stock browser because it has tabs and such.
