Multiple Issues

Greetings to all:

I'm having a bunch of issues with my Droid.  I'm trying to figure out whether these issues are due to software settings I just don't comprehend or if there is a hardware problem.

1.  I keep losing Gtalk with a message that I could not log into the server or the server was unavailable.  Is that common?  I do a complete shut down and start back up again and it works just fine -- for a few minutes.  Then it doesn't.  BB Messenger always worked.  Always.  So, this is troubling.

2.  Email.  I do not have exchange.  I own two businesses and do it myself.  They are pop accounts.  Sometimes mail comes through, sometimes it doesn't.  I kept Outlook closed and even turned off the computer for a few hours to ensure they didn't download onto my machine, but sometimes they don't come through.  Today, they did not.  Again, I did a power down, and when I reopened, poof, there were 8 messages.  Also, it showed there were five messages in one account, but those wouldn't download.

3.  Is there a way to delete all the messages in the trash with a single button push?

4.  Is there no desktop management software, e.g., Blackberry desktop manager?

5.  This is more of a complaint, but can someone -- anyone -- tell me how there is no direct link between Outlook and the phone?  I get that Google has a separate business interest than MS, but come on...

6.  Android Market.  Sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn't.  Is that just the way it is sometimes?

Thanks

Just based off of your last issue, I would say to take it back to the Verizon Store.

I am also having problem you describe in #2.  Powering off and on fixes it as you say. This a bad glitch.

RE #3 - there isn't - I know, that really sucks.  I'm sure that will be fixed in a later upgrade.  My BB had that.

RE #5 - also believe there isn't.   For calendar, I use Google sync with my Outlook, then the Droid will sync with that.  For contacts, I uploaded them from Outlook to Gmail and Droid grabs them.
