I've had this phone around six months. After about four months, I started having problems. It randomly reboots itself, the physical keyboard types letters two and three times despite the fact I hit the button once, and I get multiple copies of text messages. So today, I finally took it to my local Verizon store. All they did was tell me to call an 800 number. I called it and was on hold for 45 minutes and never got helped. This phone has been nothing but a headache the past few months. I've done the hard factory reboot and nothing has changed. Can someone please help?

Hi Randomhero1884,
Please check the software version you have on the device. It should be 2.3.20.A955.
Below I have provided steps on how to check the version in your device, as well as how to update it, if needed.
Touch About Phone
From the main screen, touch menu tab
Touch Settings
View Information under Baseband Version & System Version
To update the software on the device:
Select Menu
Select Settings
Select About Phone (Have to scroll down)
Select System Updates
If there are any updates available, the phone will automatically update to the most recent software.
If you have any additional concerns, feel free to send me a private message. I will be able to reach out to you personally and address your concerns further.
I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day!

in my experience the folks in the stores are worthless unless you're buying something where they make a commission.
verizon cs can escalate up to tech support & they know their stuff.
