I have had my Droid 2 a little less than a year. There is always a voice mail symbol appearing with the date 12/31/69. Whenever i check it i never have a voice mail and i can not get it to go away. Also, the button to turn the phone on and off is not working. i always had to press hard for it to respond and now nothing happens. The only way i can turn my phone back on is plugging it into my computer. Also, it is always freezing and restarting itself and is extremely slow and laggy. Sometimes when i get a phone call the screen goes blank but it is still ringing. Can i get a new one since it is still under a year? i have been having more and more issues with it.

CorinneR,

So sorry you are having problems with your Droid 2!  I can understand your frustration, and would be more than happy to assist.

Have you installed any type of "Antivirus" applications to your phone?  There was an issue with Antivirus apps causing these types of issues with Android phones.  If so, I would suggest to remove the application and test your phone again.  I am including instructions how to uninstall applications in a link below:

Uninstall Applications - Motorola Droid 2 (A955)

If you are still having issues after this step I would try a Hard Reset of the device.  This step can eliminate any possible corrupt file or application on the devices internal memory.  I am also including a link with instructions and screen shots for the reset below:

Hard Reset - Motorola Droid 2 (A955)

Let me know how this works out for you!
