My Droid just died on me.

I bought it last Friday and it worked for exactly one week! I was talking on the phone and as soon as I hung up, the screen stopped working!
The buttons light up but that's about it! No noises, no vibration, just a blank screen! There was plenty of charge left on it. It's now 8pm and the Verizon store is closed and I don't have a land line at my house! What am I supposed to do now? I need someone to call me to see if I can receive calls or text messages.

Hi, my name is Mike. I like to help people, as you can tell just by looking around.
If you don't mind it, I can call you with no problemo.

Thanks Mike, is there a safe way to give my phone number out without having a bunch of people abuse it?

I had the same thing happen to mine. I just pulled the battery and put back in. Phone powered up just fine.

Thanks, I'll try that but do you think this could be caused by a factory defect? I just made a call and it died, I wasn't using any apps that would cause an overload.

Pulling the battery out worked but I think I'll take it back. This stuff shouldn't happen.
