My Droid2 Global will not pair to My Ford SYNC since the latest software update. Please help!

Since the latest update, my Droid2 will not pair to my Ford SYNC. The phone will not find SYNC for me to place in the PIN. It use to work wonderful before the latest update.

I can not drive and talk on my phone without SYNC. Corporate Car- Corporate Policy.

Thank you for sharing your concern as I am more than happy to assist you! Are you able to successfully pair your Droid 2 with another bluetooth device, like an earpiece or a computer? This will help us determine if there is an issue with the bluetooth technology after the software update or is it a compatibility issue. Also, what year and model vehicle do you have? In order to successfully pair with the vehicle, the Droid 2 must be in discovery mode. Below is a link to walk thru placing the Droid 2 into discovery mode.

Once the phone is in discovery mode, the next step would be to attempt to pair with SYNC again. Here is a video link with the steps on how to pair a phone with SYNC.

If the pairing is unsuccessful then you can contact the dealership for assistance with the pairing process and/or for an updated device compatibility list of phone. Let me know how the steps above works out for you.

Same thing with my Droid2 Global. Nothing can see the phone and the phone can see no other bluetooth devices...even those that worked before the update. Very annoying!

It must be sequencing of buttons being pressed. I got it to work when I hit the discoverable button on the phone before I hit SYNC on the radio. It is now working and I am back to safe driving.

try making the phone discoverable prior to going to SYNC. It is now working again.
