My Incredible randomly reboots since update to 4.08

Two days ago 11/17/11  I noticed that my Incredible was rebooting. I know that it happened over six times that day once while I was holding it. It could have happened a lot more since I work construction and run heavy equipment and usually don't even hear or feel it ringing. Then yesterday 11/18/11  it went all day without rebooting. Today 11/19/11  as I am watching football with my Incredible on the table beside me it rebooted twice and shut off without restarting once.

I did have this issue about eight months ago but I was in bad signal area and it only happened on that jobsite so I chalked it up to a signal issue and went on.

This time I am at home and I have always had excellent signal here and the jobsite I was on I have been there for a couple weeks and have not had any problems until after the update.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated.

Now I am having connection issues when using wireless.  I stop receiving data even though it shows wireless is connected and when I try to turn wireless off it will cycle on and off continuously and the only way to get it to stop is to power down.

I went to settings and my network did not show up and when I tried to search for a network it said it was unable to perform that action. That was when I noticed that it was cycling on and off. Under Wi-Fi it would say turn on Wi-Fi then go to turning off and would just keep going back and forth until I powered down.

I hate to read you are having these erratic behaviors with your Incredible.

Prior to the phone beginning these random reboots, did you install any new apps?

You can first put the phone in safe mode.

Does it still reboot in safe mode? If so, then there is an app on there that needs to be removed.

Otherwise, when all else fails, the best remedy is a factory reset upon installation of software updates.

Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.
