My Android Incredible (HTC) thinks it's in Buenos Aires! I'm in Mpls! My phone woke me up 2 hours early this morning because of the time difference! This is the 3rd time it has thought it was in Buenos Aires in the past month and it screws up my Google Calendar. AND I can't change my current city. Even turning it off and back on doesn't work. It eventually goes back to Mpls but I can't rely on my phone to wake me up or get me to meetings like this! Has this happened to anyone else?

Try to manually set your time zone, date, and time. Follow the steps below to set your device time zone and current city up properly.
Setting your home city
- Press HOME and then tap the HTC Clock widget on the Home screen.
- Tap the World Clock tab

- Enter your home city’s name. As you enter letters, the list is filtered to show matching cities and countries.
- Scroll through the list and tap your home city.
- Press HOME and then tap the HTC Clock widget on the Home screen.
- Tap the World Clock tab
- Press MENU and then tap Local time settings to open the Date & time settings screen
- Clear the Automatic check box.
- Tap Select time zone. Scroll through the list and then tap the time zone that you want.
- To change the date, tap Set date. Adjust the date by rolling the day, month, and year scroll wheels onscreen and then tap OK.
- To change the time, tap Set time. Adjust the time by rolling the hour and minute scroll wheels onscreen and then tap OK.
- Tap the Use 24-hour format check box to toggle between using a 12-hour or a 24-hour time format.

My phone changed my current city as Buenos Aires again! I was sent instructions to change my Home city but I can't change my Current city - it says Buenos Aires. So I unchecked the Automatic Use Network provided values and changed my time zone to Central. Why does this keep happening?
I just got off the phone with Customer Service, he told me to dial *228, then option 2 to update my roaming. This worked, my current city is back to Mpls. But, this is the 4th time that this has happened. I got transferred to Android support and they've never heard of this problem. They are just going to send me a new phone. Cool!

Refurbished? Oh no!
I have a Zagg skin on my phone, I'll have to get another one for my "new" phone.
This Android software is so new, we are all guinea pigs.
One more question. I can't go the whole day without having to charge my phone. Any suggestions besides bringing my charger with me everywhere?

It will be dependent on what all you do with the phone, if you sync, what all you sync, and how often you sync.Other issues, how bright do you keep your screen, how long your screen is lit after you are done using the device. Are you streaming music, of so how long.
I make it through the day just fine. But I did pick up an add'l charging cable.... just in case.

I'm having this same issue. Today my Incredible thought I was in Shanghai (I'm in NJ). And worse, I'm in a meeting and my alarm starts blaring bc it's 6am there...although mid-afternoon here. So I got to explain to a room of higher ups that my phone is secretly visiting other places (it happened yesterday too....although that was a town about 80 miles away).

Verizon sent me a refurbished phone and I sent it back. I'm keeping mine, it's set up how I like it and don't want to take a chance on a refurb. Also, I heard of someone else with this problem so I figured eventually the programmers would have to address it, that it's not unique to my phone. So, can we hear from any programmers with an opinion? This hasn't happened to me since my last post, luckily, but it has happened 4x since September. So I'm living on the edge with the automatic update, but know how to easily change it to a set time zone.
