Here are some tips of saving your battery life.
1.Turn Down the Screen Brightness
2.Always Keep Bluetooth off When Not in Use
3.Set the Screen Timeout at a Maximum of 1 Minute
4.Avoid Live Wallpapers-
Animated wallpaper will keep the processor working all the time and it will drain your battery.
5.If Your Device Has an AMOLED Display, a Dark Wallpaper Will Use Less Power.
6.Turn off Wi-Fi-
If you don’t use it you turn it off because it will suck up quite a lot of battery life.
7.Use Widgets Wisely
Terminate widgets that are unnecessary will save your battery life.
8.Streaming Apps Will Kill Your Battery-
Audio or video streaming application will decrease you battery life fast.

Delete the task killer. THAT is killing your battery. It is constantly shutting off apps that need to be open, but do not use any resources. So the AK, kills the apps and they immediately open back up, then AK shuts them down, only to have them come back.

IF you have already done all of the things listed above, the BIGGEST issue for me and battery drain was the sync time. I currently sync my work email via push, but all others I only do once an hour. I also look closely at facebook, twitter, and other apps that I have loaded in terms of their sync times. In addition, I turn off GPS and Wi-Fi when I am not using them. Since they have toggle switches, it is easy to turn on and off. I am currently sitting at 1.5 days and 37%. I use it for the phone, text, music, some internet, and facebook/twitter communication. Other than that, limited use with other apps.
Keep in mind if you want a fully functioning all the bells and whistles running smart phone, battery use will be very high no matter what phone you have. A friend of mine has an iPhone and it last about the same amount of time as mine.
As a side note, I uninstalled the Task Killer that Verizon put on and my battery life actually got better. Uninstall that app - it does not help.

If your phone is still under warranty and the battery doesn't hold its charge anymore, try bringing it back to the store, they might replace it for free, or a low cost MIGHT..
