Your phone resetting on its own is indicative of an equipment issue, as opposed to a network problem. Updates to the network would not cause your phone to power cycle as you have described. If the problem persists, you can visit your local Verizon Wireless store, or contact us once again to troubleshoot or discuss possible replacement options.
Thanks,
Welcome to Android. My first recommendation would be to uninstall the last app you put on. Not all app developers are created equal. A bad app with memory usage issues can cause a phone to crash. Some days mine does the same thing, it is still stock. I do have a lot of software loaded and that comes with the territory. If it is real bad you can also do a factory reset which will erase everything and put back on one app at a time.
i'd buy the hardware issue if my coworker and i didn't have 2 very different phones, an LG Versa and Motorola Droid X, reset regularly, both at the same time.
It doesn't seems to be hardware issue, I have Samsung Intensity II, and my nephew has DROID x2, they both started rebooting around the same time in mid december, they reboot at least twice a day, if not more.
my Droid turns off at random when I slide open the keyboard (not always, but sometimes) and it takes about 1 minute to be able to use it again. Is that the problem you are having?
I haven't downloaded an app in months and my Droid 2 started rebooting a month ago and locking up during texting today. The last time I had this problem with the texting locking up was because of a setting to my keyboard...auto complete words needs to be un-checked.
Now, I don't know what the problem is.
Be thankful it is restarting! Mine was randomly restarting, as of today it is stuck on the stupid red thing that looks like a psp. Spins around for a bit then shuts off. We have 3 on our plan and ALL of them stopped working this week! Not sure what is going on but seems as though verizon is doing it on purpose!! Of course warranty ran out in December 2011!!! What a joke!
I dont think its the phone...last night mine was f**** up, and then this morning after an hour or so it rebooted and started working wonderfully...now it is back to working like crap. I think it's the network. They work the bugs out, then it gets overloaded or they reconnect something and it crashes again. Mine has been running slow...click a button and wait 2 min for it to open the app...type a text and wait a min for the text to scroll across the window.
