My screen times out

Hi, I have purchased this phone in December, 2010. It's been an ongoing problem and I have my phone exchanged once in January. Since then, I just didn't feel like going through the whole driving to Verizon and argue with them to get a new phone (it will be refurbished phone now that it's been over a month).
My screen times out right after unlocking it. Sometimes it happens more than 10 times before it stays on so I can either make a call or get online or text someone. Today, I tried to take a picture, I unlocked the phone, hit the camera icon and walla, the screen timed out. Today it was only 4 times, but it's annoying. Some days it happens more than 5 times. Some days it doesn't happen. That's why I couldn't show it to the agent at the store last time I went there (Luckily she believed what I said and got me a new phone).
Does anyone have the same problem??
Thanks, Hailey

It may be a faulty apps which you downloaded which is causing this to happen. Possibly a faulty battery saver apps, or something like that. Check your downloaded apps. It would be highly unlikely that this phenomena would happen on two different phones.

I received the Droid 2 yesterday as a "Certified Like New Replacement" for my 4th original Droid. Just as soon as the phone was charged it began to time out. The only thing I could do was answer the phone. It would not even allow me to hang up before timing out. I didn't have time to download my previous apps and my SD card was new and empty.
After talking to 3 tech support agents, I'm getting another "Certified Like New Replacement".
I said that to say this.... IT'S THE PHONE!!!!
Hope Verizon gets the issue resolved quickly for you.
