If you do not have insurance and the phone has not seen water or physical damage, VZW will replace it with a refurb unit up until one year of service.

As the phone was not released until April 29th 2010 you are still within VZW and the manufacturer warranty time period.

As for your issue, I would pull the battery for a minute or so and replace and see if that corrects the issue.

After that run Setup again (look in your apps) as part of that process involves the touchscreen.

If you want to reset the phone, Sync is not necessary. Make sure you save any pictures, docs, ringtones, music, texts and such. Also run backup assiditant to save your contacts. You also may want to save a .csv file of the contacts in your Google email account. A master reset deletes everything you have laoded or saved.

To do a master reset, MENU>SETTINGS>SD & PHONE STORAGE>  Scroll to the bottom and choose FACTORY DATA RESET. Choose reset phone and internal storage and follow the prompts after that.

Sorry, I forgot about that.   :smileyhappy:Did you try the setup app and battery pull??? If that did not work, take the phone back to VZW to replace if there is not any water or physical damage. Is there any damage?

Also try this....  safe mode.  See if the touch screen will work in safe mode.

It cant hurt. I read the screen it seems correct as the 4th item down on the menu is "factory reset"

1. Turn off device.
2. Hold the volume DOWN key then press the power key. Wait 2 seconds and release the power key first then release the volume key.
3. Wait about 10 seconds before touching anything....this is important as the phone is reading PMG files.
4. Click down on the volume DOWN key 4 times.
5. Press the power key.

Be sure to update us.
