Need app for missed calls/tex notification.........

Hey all, just got my new droid x a few days ago & still trying to get used to it. One thing i noticed right off the bat was it does not display any missed calls or texs you have missed, you have to actually go into the phone to find these. Now every phone i've ever owned has had this feature, how could they leave something so common off of such a great phone like the droid x??? Cannot believe they did that? Any way, i tried the app "Missed Call" and it doesn't seem to work properly, so i then tried the app "flash notify". Now although this kinda works, how can i set my phone to stay unlocked so i don't have to continually keep unlocking it everytime i miss a call or a tex? And more importantly, is there an app out there for the droid x that will not only flash BUT ALSO DISPLAY who you have missed a tex or call from & play a continual audio ringtone reminder (a constant beep or beeping custom ringtone)??? this is something that makes a phone so much more convient, and a phone that is so hyped such as the droid & it doesn't posess this capability, come on guys, somebody missed the bus on this one.

When i click on "add contact" on the app Missed Call i get the following error....................................

"The application Missed Call (process de.anno.android.missed call) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

No matter how many times i try to open the application & click on add contact it gives me this error, so it's useless???

Did you read djtonics post?  There's a missed call icon and a new text message icon in the notification bar, and you don't have to unlock the phone to see them.   Although he answered your question about that also.   I don't think anyone missed the boat....

I've had my "X" since launch day and I still am learning things about it.

Good luck, it's a great phone!

Am i missing something here?  My X shows an icon in the notification bar, i pull it down and see a missed call and for text there's a little envelope icon up there. And, theres a blinking LED on the top near the earpiece when you have a notification/missed call/missed text.  Also, the notification sound rings after the missed call or when a text comes in but i'd be annoyed as hell if it just kept beeping until i looked at it.

As far as unlocking it, have you looked @ settings at all?  that was the first thing i did when i got the phone and it amazes me that people dont look at every menu available when they get a phone just to see what's there.

So...settings> location & security>uncheck "screen lock"

G, I use and love "Easy Reminder" for an audible notification alert for missed calls and texts. It spares me from having to look at my phone for missed calls.
I highly recommend it.

Yes, I know all about the flashy things and the alerts in the notification bar at the top of the the screen. Regardless, I want an audible notification. Get over it.
