I searched this forum for another problem, basically how to update NFS Shift (from version 1.0) if you bought it from verizon (on Droid X) . Incidentally, does anyone know how?
BUT i saw in one of the comments on a thread that NFS shift, if you buy it from Verizon on the Droid X, is a SUBSCRIPTION GAME!!!! The game's 99 cents on the Android Market now, and Verizon is wanting it's users to pay $9.99 a MONTH for the exact same game? This simply cannot be correct. Can anyone confirm this or disprove this?
Let me know.

All Verizon games are by subscription, and they all are $9 or more a month. It's another rip off, I know, But Verizon is the one holding all the cards. At least for right now. I believe that there are some, but very few, games you can buy outright.

That's weaselly business!. They IMPLY that it's a one-time purchase. But now I'm looking at my latest bill, and sure enough, an extra 10 bucks. That's particularly bad business practice when you consider that the exact same game, with better customer service, WITH updates, and for a one-time purchase of 99 CENTS is available on the Android market. (Of course I find it LONG after I bought it through verizon)
Seriously, verizon. Get with the program.
@mortb, do you know how to cancel a subcription? do I just have to uninstall it from Settings > Applications?
