Need to list phone contacts by last name alphabetically

How can I view them in the DroidX by last name, alphabetically? They are currently listed by first name alphabetically.

Unfortunately, there is no way to make the droid does contact names last name first. A shortcoming that should be addressed by the Android developers, no doubt.

There may be a 3rd party app from the app market that will allow you to choose how contact names are viewed.

The only other option would be to reverse how you have your names listed in the contacts. Yuk.

Lucky for me, I like first names first in my contacts book. But the choice should be available.

You may not be able to list the contacts by last name but you can open up your contacts and then search them by last name. Hope this helps.

The only way you can do this, unfortunately, is make the last name the first name, and the first name the last name.

Actually there is a way dont know because im using a custom rom or not or because im using a og droid. in my droid i can list contacts by last name by going to contacts tab/menu/display options and from there it should give you the options Sort list by and View Contact name as. Hope it helps.
