The subject line contains the message I am seeing in my notification box...I am not receiving emails, text or updates. New to Droid X - Please share community.

To clarify more - It is under the Backup Assistant Icon -Orange Icon - then it reads "Network Unavailable" retry in 24 hours.
I wonder if Backup Assistant is having a problem again.
Working fine for me right now. Is this a NEW phone? Did you actually set up backup assistant on the Verizon web site for your account? Maybe login to your Web account and just confirm things there first. Let us know what you find out.
That error message usually means you are not in the correct service area to access the contacts or there is maintenance of the server.
Try powering the device off then back on, then dialing *228 send and option 2 to update the PRL. And then try downloading the contacts in a different area on a later date.
If the problem persist a technician may be need to diagnose the issue.
