There is no cost for basic service. If you choose to have unlimited storage for your media it cost $2.99 per month.   I have provided a link below that will take you directly to the V CAST Media Manager.

I'm not finding free basic service. This sounds like something I would be interested in, but all I can find is "starting at $2.99 for 25 GB." Where is the free basic service you speak of?

I downloaded and installed the application itself for free - the online subscription, which is optional, is the thing that costs $2.99. To use the application itself, costs nothing.
