New download for Droid

I received a message on my Droid about a new upgrade via download. I pressed the button, the phone turned off then turned on and the download started. Then I went back to my homepage and now there are three new icons at the bottom of the page. They are gray and contain an icon for the phone, internet and applications. I hate it and can't get rid of it. It covers up my arrow to view my other apps. Any recommendations?

You just received the Android 2.2 update. The "arrow" for the apps has been replaced by the center icon that looks like 16 tiny squares. If you press that icon, it quickly loads all of your app icons and you can scroll through it.

That's the Froyo launcher.  There should be a button to get to the app drawer between the phone and browser icons

help  I am not able to get to my apps page and do not have a clue where to go to find them.  The three icons at the bottom do not do that for me. one is phone the other when pressed shows the three screens that are horizontal and the other is the google.  then also where do you disgard if you want to get rid of an icon on one of your screens as well.

The middle icon is the apps... if this is not working do a factory reset.

If you do not like the way it looks go to the market and search "home launchers."
