Hi All,
The DINC2 is my first smartphone ever and I need some help with the following questions which I was not able to find answers to by reading the user guide:
1) Are the signal strength bars related to data network strength or voice network strength or both?
2) Is it possible to pass data and/or make calls when no signal strength bars are filled?
3) Settings/Wireless & networks
How does "Mobile network (Use phone for data connection when WI-FI is unavailable)" relate to the "Enable always-on
mobile data" setting in the Mobile Networks submenu?
4) Do most people leave Data Roaming checked all the time or only when they are having problems with Verizon's network?
5) Do most people leave the Data Roaming mode under CDMA Options set to Automatic?
Thanks very much for helping.
Mike

Thanks for posting.
1) Are the signal strength bars related to data network strength or voice network strength or both?
-The bars are related to voice signal not data. for data signal pay attention to the 3g/1x indicators.
2) Is it possible to pass data and/or make calls when no signal strength bars are filled?
-It depends where you are located, but generally I would say no.
3) Settings/Wireless & networks
How does "Mobilenetwork (Use phone for data connection when WI-FI is unavailable)" relate to the "Enable always-on mobile data" setting in the Mobile Networks submenu?
-That submenu has to do with when you are roaming or in a limited 3g coverage area, it basically allows the phone to look for and stay connected.
4) Do most people leave Data Roaming checked all the time or only when they are having problems with Verizon's network?
-Yes, they leave it checked all the time.
5) Do most people leave the Data Roaming mode under CDMA Options set to Automatic?
-Most people leave it set to automatic.
I hope this helps.

On the Dinc 2 the signal bars have no relation to anything in reality. I would think a VZW employee would read other forums and know that.
