So the good news is there is a new phone out that competes with the Incredible, the Droid X.
The bad news is, it is bigger, heavier, screen isn't as bright.
The good news is Verizon has them out on pre-order for the same price as Incredible $200
The bad news is, some corporate-sales-idea-weenie bureaucrat thought it would be a good idea to require an additional $100 worth of accessories bundled with the Droid X in order to qualify for pre-order. Fire that squatter...(s)he's not helping Verizon.
The good news is you can get the Droid X tomorrow.
The bad news is, you still won't have HTC Sense auto-wrap on pinch-zoomed text browsing...the absolute envy of all others without. (A must-have for browsing on mobile devices, HTC Nailed this one, can't believe others don't talk about it more.)
The good news is, the pre-sales goofball bundle idea ends tomorrow.
The bad news is, Verizon's still going to try and find a way to nickle and dime their way into your pocketbook.
ENOUGH ALREADY. JUST PROVIDE GOOD PHONES, GOOD SERVICE and QUIT REQUIRING PAYMENT FOR STUFF THAT OTHERS PROVIDE FOR FREE!!! IT BUGS THE CRAP OUT OF US AND WE VOTE WITH OUR FEET.
AT&T has reputation for crappy service, dropped calls and major disservice to iPhone users.
Verizon has reputation for good service and sleazy nickel and dime wedgies that annoy loyal customers.
e.g. Verizon Navigator ($10/mo) vs Google Maps (free)
e.g. Verizon Data Plan ($15/mo) {Keep it Legal}
e.g. Verizon Hotspot ($25/mo) vs. ??? (it's coming...and it's likely free!)

I'm with you on the whole nickel and diming thing but I planned on upgrading the card and buying a dock and a cover anyways so how would I go about pre-ordering it if there was supposedly no pre-order (with the exception of canceling your Incredible order)?
