The last post said that it was solved. It isn't. With some televisions, there is good picture but no sound when connecting the Samsung Droid Charge with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable. I have a Sony Bravia.
How do we get this to work?
Thanks!

Yep, same problem for me, and I've read similar posts in other forums. When connecting via HDMI for many TVs, the video works but there is no audio from the Charge.
Hopefully Samsung and Verizon have this on the list of bugs to fix for this phone.

I have written to Samsung, but got no answer. What kind of television do you have?

So sorry you are experiencing problems with hearing audio when connecting your Samsung Charge to your HDMI capable television!
Just a couple of questions to find the specific cause; what is the file format of the video you are trying to watch? Have you tried playing a video file connecting another HDMI capable device to your television? If so, what did you experience?
I would like to include a link with instructions for viewing pictures and videos via an external HDMI device below. The link also shows the supported file formats.
View Pictures / Videos (via an external HDMI device) - Samsung DROID Charge SCH-I510
Let me know how this works out for you!

Hi Anthony, thanks for the suggestion, but that was how I was doing it already. I have tried listening to my personal music, too, and there is no sound. I have tried shooting a little movie with the built-in video camera, and I get the video but no audio.
My TV is a Sony Bravia KDL-40S4100. I have plugged in the Micro HDMI to HDMI cable in HDMI ports 1, 2, and 3, and have tried turning the TV on and off, turning the phone on and off, all while plugged in.
I sometimes get a message on the phone "HDMI connected" and there is video but no audio. I sometimes also get an error message on the phone "HDMI mode not supported while application running, phone display only". This is when I go into the Camera application, switch to Video, and click on the one video I have recorded.
I think something on the phone is not right. Could it be some blocking software that Verizon installed?

ALL,
I saw what is shown in the last two paragraphs of this post somewhere in the following forum:
http://www.chargeforums.com/forum/droid-charge-news/1-welcome-samsung-droid-charge-forum.html.
There were NO solutions, just these comments, or I would have copied the solutions too.
One person said, This is definitely TV specific. We bought 7 droid charge phones in my family and we have 6 TV's that the sound is working on and 2 that are not working. Working are Sharp, Samsung, and Magnavox. Not working are JVC and Sony.
Another person said, That's really strange with the TV thing. I've tried it on both a Sharp Aquos and Sony Vizio and both do not give either audio or video.
