Do a battery pull reset. I get this problem once in a while and the battery pull reset fixes it.
There seems to be something strange going on today, right now. I just tried calling my VMAIL (*86) and I never heard it ring or anything .... it's appearing as connected, but I can't hear anything - either through the phone or the speaker.

Update: Ok, very strange - or coincidental ... I was getting the same problem and I just Power reset my phone -- all is fine now. First time I ever saw this problem.

I had the same issue a couple of days ago, I answered a call and thought I hit disconnect. I played with the mute button and such and no change. I also noticed that the ringer on my phone didn't work and I only happened to notice that I had an incoming call because I was checking the weather at the time. My music player produced no sounds either.
After a battery pull reset I returned the call and they told me they could not hear me either when I picked up to answer.
Yep, I experienced the same thing yesterday....battery pull fixed it.
