Ok, do you have a large amount of apps installed and can you share the list if not to big because this sounds like a app issue and I am wondering if you are using something that allows you to lock all buttons access, I had this issue when I first started using Widget Locer but they worked that out a good time back but maybe another developer gave this option with their app..
If you cant share i would suggest any replacement launchers installed and any lock screen add ons and then test again..
Try booting into Safe Mode and then make a call and see what happens...
- Press and hold the Power button.
- Select Power off.
- Press and hold the Power button.
- When the Motorola Logo appears on the screen, press and hold the Menu button.
- Hold the Menu button until Safe mode appears in the lower-left of the home screen.
This may take up to 30 seconds.
Disable Safe Mode
Press and hold the Power button.
- Select Power off.

Thanks to the community members for your input. Hello Oilfieldtrash, When your making a call, are you holding the phone close to your ear? The reason why I'm asking is because the phone does have a proximity sensor. When you hold the phone close to your ear, the display will go dark to prevent accidental touches. When you move the phone away from your ear, the display should light up again. Also, with the phone not responding with the blank screen, there is a crash recovery mode suggested by Motorola. It is suggested to remove the battery and replace it back into your phone. Power it back on and see if the screen responses and the dial pad can be accessed. Please post back with the results. Lastly, for assistance, please refer to our website on the support page. Please use the pull down and select your specific device for access to references and a helpful user manual.
