No more emails in Droid X

I can no longer access current  emails in my Droid X.  I click on email and a few old ones come up but nothing current.  My default email is still set up in Settings/Account and when in email and Settings it shows as default email account as well.  What did I disable to cause this?

Sorry it took so long to get back.  I talked with a Verizon tech rep who first had me re-enter my Yahoo account info in settings a couple of times ( I had already tried that).  Then she had me delete my Yahoo account info again and enter it under the generic e-mail icon instead of Yahoo icon.  It worked just fine then and has ever since.

Hello XerMarvin,

I understand the importance of receiving your emails in a timely manner. First, please go into your email settings and make sure that "Data Push" is checked for your Droid X. If you choose the "Fetch" setting, the system will check every 15 minutes. Additionally, I would like to ask if you have updated your software to Gingerbread?

I ask because I noticed that once I updated to Gingerbread, I had to manually refresh my Yahoo email account in order to receive my emails. To correct this, simply remove the email account from the phone, then re-add it back to the device. You will find that you will not have to manually pull up your email, since the emails will come in on their own. Again, please make sure that the "Data Push" setting is checked.

If you have any additional concerns regarding your Yahoo email account, please feel free to send me a private message. I will be more than happy to assist you further.

I hope this information is helpful, and have a great day!

You can also try doing a System Cache Clear that may help you as well.

Hello bigsexy,

Yes, you are correct.  In most cases simply removing the email account and setting it back up will assist.  If you need an additional step RodK posted a great step as well.  If you are still experiencing difficulties please let me know so I can further assist.  Thank you.

Try looking in the Droid X forum. There are several recent discussions.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

What kind of email accounts do you have synced with your phones (i.e. hotmail, yahoo, AOL, etc)?  Are you getting an error message when you go into your inbox?  Have you tried to delete and read your email accounts?  Have you tried doing a manual sync? If so what are your results/error messages?  Please repost with answers and steps you’ve taken.

Thank you.
