{please keep your posts courteous} use an old phone or buy a cheap phone somewhere and transfer it to your account. You can drop your data plan and actually save $30 a month until your broken Droid is payed off.

This reminds me of the people who have fires in their apartments but don't have the very cheap renter's insurance to cover replacement of the TVs, computers, and all the other stuff, yet have plenty of money for beer and cigarettes. Common sense isn't just a couple of words......

Well if you paid for it in cash, you don't have a contract...no problem. If you have a two year contract, you didn't pay for it all at once and your are making payments over the next 24 months. You options are listed above, or you can pay the $350 ETF.

I would suggest the certified pre owned phones, they are the EXACT same phones as warranty phones and the EXACT same phone that asurion will send you. The droid 1 is not sold as new anymore. Motorola only certifies it like a new one. If you buy a certified pre owned you can add insurance on it. Also remember that your bill shows you what you are paying for. If you are not being charged for insurance you need to call ASAP and have them correct it. Paying the bill means you read it and agree to whats being and whats not being charged. Go certified pre owned, its the same phone as warranty or insurance.
