I just gave up my Blackberry Storm for the Motorola Droid X. I'm seriously considering taking it back. That it keeps message history in your contacts is in and of itself reason enough, but the final straw was when I just tried to save an email only to realize THERE IS NO SAVE FOLDER!!!! If there is an app that will allow me to save an email (right now the only folders are inbox and trash) please let me know, or this crap goes back. By the way, I don't mean save an attachment. I mean save an email. On the storm if you hit save on any type of message it goes to your saved folder. Even if you delete everything in your inbox. To delete it once you've saved it you must delete it from the saved folder.

Are you using Gmail?
With Gmail you never have to delete another message, you use the archive button to permanently store it in your own personal archive of emails, this also archives the attachments with the email.
Are you using a corporate email or a non @gmail.com address?
If yes, please explain how you save emails. eg in gmail we have labels instead of the folders many others use. Are the "folders" syncing from your phone to the web or desktop client (such as outlook) you are using?
Many email providers have limited storage for you emails and force you to save emails yourself, Gmail is different in that you never HAVE TO delete, even though it is an option. Check you email providers site or ask your IT Dept at work if your email is set up to work correctly with your Droid.
Cheers

I need this feature for both my work and personal emails. I've never see a pda device that couldn't save email with the click of one button. My Blackberry could save ALL emails. Corporate, Yahoo, Road Runner, Gmail. All of them. Hell my ipod touch can do the same. So the Droid not doing it is absurd to me. Also, I've never seen a device that saved text message history after you've deleted it. I can't save an email, but I can't delete text history. This is absurd! The facebook app on the Droid X is nowhere near as good as the Blackberry or the iPhone apps. And I had to download apps on the Droid to do things that are factory installed on Blackberry. I'm really unhappy with this device. The internet is faster than it was on my Blackberry Storm, but I hate everything else about it.

@ John, LOL. You're right. Found out today that many of my beloved features are indeed unique to blackberry. sigh. Hopefully the 2.2 update will make me like this droid, or at the very least stop me from hating it.
