Droid X lost signal this am had the red circle with line thru it in status bar. Tried everything reboot, remove battery, gPs on/off,airplane on/off reboot nothing worked took it to tech at Verizon did all that I did. Went to back of store came back with a lost look on his face. Said I should receive phone in mail tomorrow 29 mar. Bad thing is writing this on my I-pod touch and not my DROIDX. 23 more months to go for my 2years.

Did you try the *228, option 2 method? That's usually the only thing to boost signal.

I just think you ran into a device with a bad reciever, this happens from time to time when they manufacture so many devices in such a large amount because this hasnt been a common issue reported, I hope the replacement resolves your issue.
