This is my first real smart phone. On my old phone I could choose between: ringtone/sound only, vibrate only, or both.. Well this phone does not seem to vibrate for a call or a text. I used the volume rocker to turn sound off and it shows the vibrate icon, and vibrates for a second when I first turn it to vibrate. The issue is that I have a teenager with Autism and he texts me at my work to let me know he has gotten in the house after school and is OK. I have to set the phone to vibrate at work or turn it off. No other option. I also can't keep checking to see if he has texted.
Is something wrong with my phone? I've only had it 4 days. OR am I missing a setting somewhere. I have thoroughly looked over the phone and have gone to a store with several other questions. I am tired of going in to ask a question, so I thought I would try here.
thanks for any advice!

It should be the same setting as my Eris, from your home screen, press menu>settings>sound, then set the vibrate setting. Your options should be never, only on silent, and always. I think by default this is set to never or only on silent.

I have always had this same issue and have not yet figured it out. If I do I will write back to let you know.
