I already have the 2.2 Update. My question is if you already have it does everybody else get the error saying manual update not availble?
That and i cant get the RSS News feed that come preloaded with the phone to work.
Any thoughts?
As far as I know, there is no RSS news feed already installed. However, you can download several free RSS news feeds from the Market. Just go to the Market, and in the search bar type in RSS News Feed. There are several to choose from.
Isn't the News Widget an RSS function? (Don't know, just asking)
Yes it is. But first you have to install it and than you must customize it. Because you see it in the widget menu doesn't mean that it is already installed. Just in case you don't know how, but I assume you do, go to any of the screens that has an open space. hold your finger onto any blank part of the screen until the widget/shortcut menu pops up. Tap "Motorola Widgets" and scroll down to News and tap on that. This will put it on the screen. Than open it and you can customize it to whatever news you would like to receive. However, there are some much better ones in the Market. I use Android News for Droi news, and News and Weather for everything else.

When you tap the news widget and then tap the menu key, are you subscribed to any feeds?
After reading the responses, I did not see anyone actually answer your question about the updates not available at this time. The answer is yes, I receive it quite a few times. I think it is a case of the server being overloaded and timing out.....could be wrong though. I do know it took about 8 attempts over the last few days to finally get through, and get the response that the phone was up to date. Droid X JohnEB2
