Not Stupid but it seems I need step by set instructions to load my music

I already put the question out there that I am mad that Verizon is making me add all these extra programs in order to get my music downloaded. I had a couple guys advise that I didn't need to go through the media manager and that I could transfer my itunes files over as long as I have the USB cable. Well, I do and I have been doing everything within my power to get this accomplished and I am truly NOT STUPID!! Will someone please give me a step by step so that I can finally load my music on my Droid Incredible???? Thank you Thank you, Thank you

Oops! Sorry did not read it all! If you are looking to sync with iTunes, i think you will need doubleTwist app from the market. You will also need to download their desktop version and install it. When you set it up, it will prompt you to configure iTunes so that it can sync music from iTunes to your phone via doubleTwist.
