Not able to receive text messages from MetroPCS phones on my HTC Incredible

I received my new HTC Incredible yesterday and promptly activated it. I have tested sending and receiving text messages from friends on Verizon and Sprint networks. Unfortunately I am unable to receive text messages sent from MetroPCS phones. I tried using the number@mymetropcs.com solution but unfortunately that turns my text messages into emails. So when my friends on MetroPCS receive my text messages they show up as emails. Is there anything that can be done to resolve this issue?

It may take a while for things to get all set up right and working properly. I suggest waiting 72 hours. If it does not resolve by itself call customer care.

That is because when you are in the metro pcs network, you have to include the area code no matter if its the same area code as yours. So if you send a text message from the metro pcs network with area code (562) and you send it to another (562) It wont send it unless you include the area code with the number..So just edit all your contacts by adding their area code.
