Just received my new Droid Charge and am unable to send text messages using the stock message program or with Handcent SMS. I am able to receive messages and it appears that all other functions are working properly. Any help?
What do you mean you cant send messages? Are you getting a message, does the app close or what, more information may be helpful..
When I first got my phone withing the first hour of having it I could not send text messages. I could compose a message and hit send but it would just say "pending" and the person never received them. I called support and they had me do a factory reset and I never had the problem again. My son also got the Charge and had the same issue first day and then never again. Possibly something buggy when the phone is first activate. For us it was no big deal doing the reset since we didn't have a chance to add many apps yet. If this is the issue you are having the only option is probably to do the reset.
Since you report not cisromixing device much I would probally exclude it being app related but its not possible you could be seeing a network bug, lately the network has been in and out... I believe this may be because of the up coming 4G upgrades reported.
If it comes and goes I would chalk it up as a network glitch and keep a eye on the situation and report any repeating situations..
