Not getting my Yahoo emails

I've been getting my yahoo emails all along until recently.  Now I get notifications of new emails, but when I look there is no emails.  In fact, all my yahoo emails are gone.  My yahoo account is fine......what happened?  How do I get them back?

Are you using the yahoo app or the email on your phone?

 

Are the emails on the yahoo account when you read them from another source?

 

Did you recently re-add it, change anything on that profile?

 

Take the battery out, put it back in and see if you are still getting issues.

FWIW, the Yahoo mail app for Android is notoriously buggy and unreliable...

If your not receiving your emails via your mobile device, or experiencing intermittent issues with your email I recommend checking your incoming and outgoing service settings. The steps are listed below. 

 

 

  1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located on the bottom of the screen).

  2. Touch Email.

  3. Touch Menu.

  4. Touch Accounts.

  5. Touch and hold the IMAP email account.

  6. Touch Account Settings.

  7. Touch then verify the incoming and outgoing server settings.
    • Incoming Settings
    • Outgoing Settings

Incoming settings

  1. Verify the incoming server settings.
    • Username
    • Password
    • IMAP server
    • Port number
  2. Touch the Security type dropdown.

  3. Verify the security type is selected.
    • None
    • SSL
    • SSL (Accept all certificates)
    • TLS
    • TLS (accept all certificates)
  4. Verify the optional IMAP path prefix.

  5. Touch Next.

  6. The incoming server settings will be verified.

 Outgoing settings

  1. Verify the Outgoing SMTP settings.
    • SMTP server
    • Port
  2. Touch the Security type dropdown.

  3. Verify the security type is selected.
    • None
    • SSL
    • SSL (Accept all certificates)
    • TLS
    • TLS (Accept all certificates)
  4. If desired, ensure Require sign-in is selected.

  5. Verify the SMTP information.
    • Username
    • Password
  6. Touch Next.

  7. The outgoing server settings will be verified.
