Not receiving text messages

My wife and I both have Droid X's. For the last 2 days i can send and receive txts normally except from my wife. I can send her txts but cant receive txts from her? She can send and receive normally except sending to me? Any thoughts on this problem? We are both on the same share plan?

I'm also having texting issues. I have 2 contacts that I can no longer text. They can send me texts but I cannot reply. The issue started mid conversation. Neither are on my plan. On is a verizon customer, one is not. No idea what happened.

Have either of you tried doing *228, option 2? Or or the OP, having your wife do that? Or try calling the person/people you cannot text, letting it connect, and then hanging up. That seems to "unclog" mine whenever this happens.

I am having the same exact issue with my fiance, we both did the roaming update, both pulled the battery and let the phone sit for a minute. we have spoke on the phone and I can even receive MMS msgs from her. Not using any text app

could one of you have inadvertently blocked the other?

check in myverizon on a computer where the blocking can be done aka spam for text & email messages and phone calls.

fwiw:

i send a lot of emails, as text messages to folks on verizon. it's easier to type on a keyboard than the phone.

I am having a similar problem with my boyfriend. I can send texts to him, which he receives. But when he sends me a text, I get nothing. He is in Texas and I am in Wisconsin, but other people in the same city have gotten texts from him. I checked and didn't accidently block him either, because I was worried about that.

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. Perhaps Orangeace could power cycle your spouse's phone to refresh the connections. Afterward, ask her to try and send you a text message. Please ask her to see if she gets an error message telling her the message to you did not go through to you. Please ask her to confirm your number is clearly displayed in the send field before sending the message.

If you can receive their texts but they are not receiving yours, they might have "accidentally" blocked you.
