Is there a notepad app for the Droid X?  Seems to me something very simple but it is not on my phone. My blackberry had everything.

There is a stock note app, but there are also tons of note pad apps in the Market. I'm using "Note Everything" and it has the BB notepad app beat.

I also came from a BB about a month ago and I admit there is a huge learning curve, but I found out that everything I liked about my BB can be done even better with a Droid app. BB has limited apps and took forever to download, but the Droid app market is light years beyond the one for BB.

There are a ton of note apps including sticky notes, and most of them are free. I use color notes for long notes, and sticky notes for the shorties, such as jotting down a telephone number.

I've tried several of the notepad applications but have yet to find one that's simple. I am currently using "Simple Notepad" and it does have simple settings and is easy to use; however, it is still auto saving -- worse it's auto saving with the same file names. I hate that feature! Whatever happened to "file name exists, overwrite existing file? create new file name?"

I keep a running note for the week. At the end of the week I [which is where the simplicity of Simple Notepad should be seen {because it's saving in simple ANSI txt}] move the note to my computer for the following week's tasks. I certainly don't need every edition of the file!

I fail to understand why Google hasn't included a Windows/Mac compatible notepad with the Droid phone(s)!?!

{on another note -- why is there no voice messaging? not voice to txt or txt to voice or a link to a website!? previously, i would be able to send "text"; "voice"; or "picture" message ... i c the image applications include send image to -- but where is the voice option!}
