Notification Light Stopped Blinking

Less than a year of use and now my notification light has stopped blinking completely, even when the screen is off.  It is not a large issue, just a nuisance as this was a benefit of the phone.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I would check all the apps installed because there is a number of apps that cause this issues.

I've noticed this happening twice in 8 months, with two separate X's. You didn't mention if it was text notification, or email.

Personally, it was email (GMail) notification on my phone. The text notification was not affected.

So, my experience may be irrelevant to yours.

Both times, I did the usual tap dance. Powered the phone down, removed the battery and let it sit.

Upon power up, both times, the notification light started working again.

If you've already tried that, try powering the phone up in Safe Mode to eliminate apps (wildman's post).

Then, there is always the time consuming factory reset. Beyond that, it may be hardware-related and covered under warranty.

And yes, this is one of my favorite features on this phone.

brittanyt021, I am sorry your experiencing issues with your notifications. I have listed steps below to ensure your email notifications are working properly.

  1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located on the bottom of the display).

  2. Touch Email.

  3. Touch the Menu Button.

  4. Touch Email settings.

  5. Touch Notifications.

  6. Touch Notifications.
Note Email notifications are enabled if a green check mark is present.

  7. Touch Select ringtone.

  8. Touch the ringtone then touch OK.
Note To disable ringtone, ensure Silent is selected.

  9. Touch Vibrate.
Note Vibrate is enabled if a green check mark is present.
