I want to give my old Droid to a family member.
Can the original Droid be unlocked to be used on different networks?

Yes, USA carrier. An original Android Model# A855. I have looked on Ebay to see if it was worth trying to sell and found that it is worth more to me than to anyone else. Id rather give it to a family member than sell it for little bit of nothing.

The original DROID is a 3G only smartphone and carrier branded to the Verizon Wireless network. It can only be activated on the Verizon Wireless network.
