Got my fourth replacement charge; the issue is that MMS texts will not send and the phone will not close out the network connection, draining the battery, in areas of 3G. 4G areas work just fine with sending texts.
The issue persists, and a network technician confirmed the issue for my phone. Rather than send me a fifth replacement Charge, she ordered a SIM card for me.
On to the new issue: I lost 3G coverage this morning. No new apps installed, no network disruption in the area because my Verizon Blackberry shows 3G (and I'm able to surf and email just fine). The Droid Charge shows no network.
Browser does not connect, apps that require a network connection (Market, Amazon Marketplace, facebook) lament the lack of network connection.
Things I've tried: Turning off and on 3G through the top menu, going into CDMA mode only via the wifi settings, resetting the phone through the power menu, pulling the battery for one minute and finally, pulling the battery and the SIM card for a couple minutes and reinserting. No positive result.
Do I need to worry about the lack of data connectivity being an phone/hardware issue or should I just wait to see what the SIM card will do?
Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot (and hopefully get back) 3G connectivity?
