For some reason, I can connect to optimumwifi with good to excellent connection strength, but with no internet access. It had worked for a while, but hasn't worked for weeks now. Optimum has been no help, they acknowledged my email, but never got back to me with any help.
Just curious if anyone else has trouble getting internet assess, after connecting to optimuwifi.
Also, I can always get internet access on my Droid X at my local libraries own wifi service, with no problem, just can't get internet access with optimunwifi hotspots.
Thanks

I am sorry but Verizon usually wont allow users to discuss apps like this on their forum because they offer a product like this and they concider apps like this as a possible TOS violation. Plus since this isnt a Verizon product there probally wont be any support here but you may want to try one of the many other forums on the web that I am sure you can recieve some assistance.

I'm not talking about any apps. All phones come with wifi capabilities. I'm not limited to just using Verizon's wifi services??? The droid X allows me to use whatever wifi connection you wish or am I missing something?
I'm not looking for support from Verizon, I just want to know if other Droid X users are having trouble with connecting to wifi hotspots and if they have trouble getting internet access.

My mistake, I never hear of Optimumwifi but from what I read it appeared to be simular to Verizon mobile wifi hotspot and there is a number of apps designed like the Verizon hotspot and all apps like this usually cant get discussed here because it uses the unlimited data plan in a way that isnt allowed..
Well I have read over site for a understanding what it is and I am still unclear what it does so it appears I can not help on this, hope someone here can give you some assistance.

Works in public places like Fed Ex Store, (has awesome wifi, I use a wifi signal analyzer app), dentist office, professional buildings, etc.
So, no problem using wifi other than home, or work, if that is what you were asking.
