On the HTC Thunderbolt, you can use HTC Sync to do the contacts in Outlook. At least that is what its description says. It does depend on how your information is set up. You can also export the contacts and import them into the Google contact list that is then synced with the gmail account on the phone.

Other files, music, word docs etc I just connect the phone as a disk drive and drag and drop files between the computer and the sd card on the phone.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Thank you for your inquiry. Adding to this, to sync your Thunderbolt to your computer, please visit www.htc.com/support for downloading and installing HTCsync.exe to your computer. Then on your computer, double click the file and follow the on screen instructions. After installing, the HTC Icon is added to your computer of which you would double click to open HTC Sync.

Then set up HTC Sync and connect the USB cable to the device and computer. On your phone’s connect to the computer screen, tap HTC Sync and tap Done on the phone.  When the device setup screen opens, enter the name of your phone and click save. The device panel opens to allow you to sync the phone to your computer with the on screen options. These steps can be referred on page 139 of the online user Manuel. Here is a link that can be referred to http://support.vzw.com/clc/devices/index.html
