Outlook Synching

It is really frustrating that my Incredible and Outlook don't correctly synch with appointments and doesn't synch at all with Notes and Tasks.  What's up with the constant replication of appointments over and over.  I correct them and they come back a week later.  Anyone have a fix or a better Synch app???

I have been searching for that answer for a while now. The main problem is that Android and gmail do not sync up with Outlook Tasks, Notes, or Journal.

I have gone through a few trials:

HTC Sync does not really work that well and you have to connect via USB to sync. It will not sync on the "fly". It is free though.

I then tried Google Apps Premier version to sync emails, contacts and calendar. It costs $50/year. Google provides a "cloud" server to which your Outlook and phone sync - Outlook via Internet and phone wirelessly. They are always in sync. You do not need to have your Outlook or computer running. It had some glitches and the worst part is that when you access the online information in the "cloud" it is via a gmail account which does not map that well with Outlook - contacts in gmail do not have first & last names, no categories, etc. There are a few additional issues, including the fact that you need to own your own domain, and the whole domain gets forwarded to GAPPS no matter how many users you purchase.

I then tried Exchange MyMail, which is a hosted MS Exchange. If you do not own a domain, they will provide one for you. If you do not want to move your whole domain, they will provide a "split domain" where you only move one email (user) from the domain that you want to use. It provides an online Outlook hosted by their Exchange in the cloud which syncronizes flawlessly with your computer Outlook as well as your Android phone (or any other phone such as Windows Mobile). It does cost more than GAPPS (12.95/month per user) but is is awesome. It will also reflect all the email folders that you have created in Outlook, including sent box, etc. They have a 1 month trial period just like GAPPS.

Hope that helps some.

I'm using Touchdown for my Outlook Exchange email, works perfectly.  Syncs all my email, calendar and contacts no problem.  Cost 19.95 one time, I think they have a 5 day trial period where you can try it out for free.
