This is just a question of curiosity. My Droid is fast enough as is but I thought it was kind of cool to see an app in the market that can overclock the processor on these phones. Has anyone done this to, say, 1GHz to match the Nexus One? Do these processors run hot and risk failure, or have people had good results overclocking. Don't go off on me...I just thought it was interesting to see that overclocking was not just for computers...that people could do it on a phone and other devices.

You have to have root access and apply a different kernel image for that app to work. It will not work on a stock Droid. There is discussion about this over at Droid Forums. I don't believe it's appropriate for this board.
