The Subject Line says it all.
i wouldn't mind a home run fence without ads too!!! lol. they're annoying, but harmless. it's just 4 more apps in the app drawer, among the dozens that you rarely or never use.
sure....we'll all have microchips inserted into us eventually anyhow....lol
I would like to uninstall the MyFavs app, Amazon MP3 app and Google Talk!
The apps aren't harmless, though! They're eating my battery.

I can assure you as an Incredible owner those apps do NOT use resources or battery life. You can easily check out what IS using your battery.
From the main screeen MENU>SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE>BATTRY>BATTERY USE You will not see any of those items listed.
They need to be open because the OS is based on Linux. Unlike a Windows program which might have the same thing replicated in each program, on this device, the info is only available in one app and if needed, Linux will open it to ONLY gain the info it needs to run.
The OS will also shut down apps when memory becomes an issue automatically.
As for battery life, manually adjust your brightness, see what all you have syncing and how often, how much do you listen to music, is the GPS icon on (Keep the GPS programs running, the only battery use is when you see the satellite dish). Bump charge your phone. (Search for instructions, that will increase your daily battery life)
How bad do you want apps off?
